Influence Your Audience with Personalised, Data-Driven Content

Can data move people? What insights does it give us, and how do we communicate this?

There are two core skills that everyone in the knowledge economy needs if they’re going to thrive. These are the ability to interrogate and make sense of data, and the ability to use the insights extracted from data to persuade others to take action. At its simplest, the equation underpinning 21st century business impact is this: analytics + storytelling = influence.

The DRIVA arts DRIVA project is unlocking sets of unique, real-time big data and helping tech innovators to build from it and arts practitioners to create experiences from it.

In this free event, psychologist and brand storyteller Dr Sam Knowles will work with you to explain some of the key personalised, data-driven storytelling skills being used by businesses from easyJet to Spotify and creative campaigns such as #ThisGirlCan + groundbreaking artist duo Semiconductor, who explore the material nature of our world and how we experience it through the lens of science and technology.

Speakers:

Dr Sam Knowles FRSA - Managing Director, Insight Agents

Dr Sam Knowles combines more than 25 years in corporate and consumer communications for global clients with an unusually rich analytics experience.

Before creating Insight Agents, Sam was Group Director, Strategic Planning at WCG Europe, and immediately prior the UK MD of Echo Research, the earned media subsidiary of Ebiquity. He has also held strategic planning and business development leadership roles at Salt, Kaizo and Fleishman-Hillard.

Sam has a doctorate in Experimental Psychology, a source of both his understanding of human motivation and behaviour and his love of telling stories with data. In April 2018, Routledge published his first book for business called Narrative by Numbers: How to Tell Powerful and Purposeful Stories with Data. Routledge will publish Sam’s next book How To Be Insightful in late 2020.
